Pizza Pizza!

On Friday, PTA treated us to a late afternoon snack...pizza!!!   Team Wilkinson and Mrs. Lynn's classes celebrated great participation in the BoxTops Drive held in September!!!   As a school, Kenwood collected over 22,000 BoxTops for our PTA.

Leader of the Month

Congrats to Triniti, our October Leader of the Month, who was recognized at our assembly on Wednesday!

Team Wilkinson celebrates Triniti as a leader who always puts first things first in meeting expectations in the classroom, at Cross Country, Choir and FCA.  Triniti is always willing to lend an extra hand and build synergy on our Team!!

Sharing Real World Connections

Today during Brain Break, Tommy taught us about the SS Edmund Fitzgerald, a Great Lakes freighter that sank in Lake Superior.   Tommy has a connection to this story because his hometown is near this lake.   We learned that Monday was the 39th anniversary of the ships sinking.

Literacy Discussion!

Thanks to Mr. Beatty for hosting Team Wilkinson and Ms. Clay's class for an ELA/Art Integration lesson.   We used our knowledge of artistic elements to infer the mood of several paintings, including "Seascape Study with Rain Cloud".
