Read Aloud Homework

If your child has their Read Aloud folder (yellow) in their backpack tonight, please confirm their work matches our model.   Tonight, students should only define the vocabulary words for chapters 1 and 2.   We will answer the comprehension questions as we read.

Fluency Practice

This week we began our Peer Assisted Fluency routine.  Students will be active contributors to the development of *our* fluent reading, leading their own daily conferences with each other.   Mrs. Garrett even stopped by to help Ms. Wilkinson with her reading ;)

Honing our Science (Process) Skills

Today we defined and illustrated the Process Skills we will use daily as scientists.   We looked at 12 different skills and defined what each looked like in last week's Maze Madness.

Tomorrow, we will commence the Puzzle Challenge...students will lean heavily on these skills to be successful in their projects this week!

Ask your child what skills scientists use daily!
