Our mathematicians are working very hard on their "Number Talks"...the conversations we have to share our thinking and processing during problem solving. Here are some important vocabulary words your child can practice at home:
multiples - the pattern of products
factor
- any number, when multiplied by another, that results in a product
composite
- a number with more than one factor pair
prime - a number that has
only 2 factors
composite
- a number that has more than 2 factors

- the sequence of products of any number

- can be found using skip counting (*this is the strategy, not the definition*)

a number that can be represented using more than 2 arrays
array - a visual representation

- the answer to a multiplication problem
